laptop for gamers

My brother is interested in purchasing a laptop

he'd like to play games, store pics/music, edit video, with a screen no less then 14" for $1500 or less

any suggestions?

 

What about Alienware or Sager??

I knew two people who had each machine. One alienware, and one sager. The one with the sager was very very very happy with his purchase while the one with the alienware wishes he went with the sager.

I think that's a good start! I know there are other computer companies out there, but I can't think of 'em right now...

 

I have a Toshiba Satellite specs below and love it. I have never had to have it in for repair and run WoW, Quake and plenty of games on it without problems.

My brother bought an AlienWare comp. Paid over twice as much and has had repeated problems trying to get service. When he did research it seems many people have problems with their tech support.

One of the very cool things about this laptop is that it has a removable wireless keyboard. You can set the laptop on the coffee table, remove the keyboard and use the wireless mouse to play your games in comfort. I paid $1,500 for it over 2 years ago when I bought it on Ebay. (I did extensive research into who I bought from, waited for a reputable seller and had no problems.) I would go for a 64MB video card if I was buying it today but at the time it was the best out there.
