Laptop Freezing While Inactive Only While Plugged In.

Hi there.
I've got a pretty weird problem. Basically, my laptop is freezing/locking up to the point that nothing works other than holding the power button to turn it off then turn it back on, the screen stays on and frozen on whatever It was on when the freeze happens. There's a couple things I've noticed about the crash:
firstly it only seems to happen when The laptop's power is plugged in.
Sometimes a buzzing sound is played through the audio, only tends to happen if there is audio when the freeze happens.
It only happens when There's no input, if I keep pushing buttons or moving the mouse it doesn't freeze but if I leave it even if there's stuff going on like playing a video it will freeze usually after a few minutes.

At first, I thought it might be the computer trying to defrag but my memory is an SSD so it doesn't need to defrag. Also, I've already set "turn off hard drive" to never.

My laptop is an ASUS Travelmate Spin B running windows 10
I've done a bit of research and this windows 10 freezing problem seems to be affecting other people but I haven't found a solution that works.

update all the drivers lately? You can try changing the power settings, like disable sleep / hibernate.

 

yeah I recently updated them. I've tried messing around with the power settings. they're all set to no sleep

 

I had one recently that was doing similar things. I pulled the battery, waited 5 min reinstalled and it fixed the problem.
