My old laptop (which is no more) motherboard went out and my spouse attempted to rescue it. Well, parts flew everywhere. Now have new LPTP.Problem: I need the files from that old HD. How can I connect that HD up to get the files without havjing to put it into another laptop or something like that; confused.

you can look on the internet for a 2.5 inch usb hdd connecter cable that will cost around £20 and will allow you to connect that laptop hard disk to any desktop pc and use it like a usb flash drive, if the files are corrupt you can use command prompt and the chkdsk /f function to fix it, if that fails and the files are really important then recovery companies will get them back for you at a premium, hope that helps. :major i-CONICA :major
