My Toshiba Satellite is starting to run hotter.

    (Warning dumb question follows).

Do I need to replace the processor or the something else???

I wouldn't bother with it, but this is the only XP operating system I have and it is soooooo much better than Vista on my HP.

    Info appreciated.

No, replacing the processor will not work and be a waste of money.;) Main thing if it's hot, never put it on your lap or bedding, a hard flat surface is best. Next, you'll have to clean the vents of any accumulated fluff with a vacuum. If that doesn't work then you'll have to open it up and try to clean it that way with compressed gas/q-tips. Good luck.:)

    Thank you. Will do.

Will get a laptop fan that can be put in my lap.

    Thanks again.
