Laptop help

Hey, this should probably be in "Networking" but i dunno really, but i need help with my internet... i tryed to get on the internet yesterday an it says its connected but when i try to get onto the internet it says "page cannot be displayed" im so lost, i have no clue what happened. it says its not reveiving any packets either i think and it sends like 1 packet every minute, im so lost, i need help please!

 

assuming it's not spyware ... your firewall may be blocking your browser ... also your security settings in your browsers preferences might be doing it as well

 

Here is another test:
put this numerical IP address into the address field of your browser:

67.19.72.100

and hit the Enter key.
This is www.majorgeeks.com address. If this page renders, then you may have DNS issues.

 

have you been getting on the internet or is this the first time?
