Laptop Internet Connection Woes...

Okay folks, check this out. I recently started having problems with my Internet connection on my laptop. It shows I'm connected to the home network and the connection is "Excellent", and can send and receive e-mail, but just can't access the Internet. So, I establish a new user account and BAM!! instant Internet access, all on the same computer. So I have working e-mail on one account, but no Internet access, but the other account works fine. What gives?? Any suggstions??
