I just replaced an LCD on a Sony VAIO. Now the graphics (this is hard to describe) do not appear to be in the center of the LCD. It appears as if it is eminating from the bottom right corner. And about a third of the windows desktop cannot be seen. The desktop does not extend to either the top or left of the LCD. There is a strech option in the BIOS settings, but all it does is increase the size of the image. The latop still thinks the center of the image is somewhere to the right and beneath the actual center of the LCD. Even the bios message appear off center.

I have updated the XP video driver with no change. I have checked the connections again...no change. Could this be the wrong LCD?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

I can see that happening. Have looked at the the display settings in the control panel?

I would connect to a external display to see what it looks like... If its different and correct then its your new screen thats the problem, if it looks the same its a setting or something else. Then you can investigate further.

I did do that and the external is fine. I was all over the display settings as well. Thanks for the response.
