Laptop problem

    Hey guys, recently, my laptop crashed on me..probably do to fry-age :( i stuck in a different ac adaptor (higher voltage) becasue i didnt have one specifically for it, it worked...but...after a while it just shut down, and when i bought a new ac adaptor, it doesnt work...any suggestions?

    my laptop is a compaq e500 armada

    you prob fried it,how much higher voltage?,or if your lucky blown an internal fuse,if you take it apart,if there is one it will be located just after the socket the adapter plugs into.

    Nothing happens at all with the new good adapter?

    when i put in the new adaptor it just beeps

    i used 31 voltage, its suppose to use 18.5

    no wonder its not working. Like Rikky said, check if there is a fuse that u can replace

    well i mean the 31 adaptor worked, so i was like, ok ill just use this...guess it didnt work too long :( ill try opening it up again...i tried it be4 but it was hard to open
