Laptop! READ PLEEEASE!

    iI was in my friends today when I was fixing his computers and he shown me this DELL Latitude CPt S500GT MODEL. PPX. I decided I would put some RAM in it so I did. It then said MEMROY ERROR so I removed the ram. Put the old one back in and now all it does is the lights come on and nothing else happens. I need to get this fixed or I need £150 (Which I dont have) to pay for a new laptop for him. PLEASE HELP!
