I bought a brand new HP Envy m6 notebook PC with Windows 8 a week ago. Almost right away, the following problem started happening:

When I unplug the power cord, so that the laptop is running only on battery power, the laptop reboots itself. Sometimes it reboots right away, sometimes after a couple minutes, but no longer than about 3 minutes does it stay on before it reboots.

When it reboots, the screen goes black and then it restarts right away. If I keep the laptop unplugged, so that it stays only on battery power, it keeps doing the same thing, rebooting after a couple minutes.

No such issues occur when the power cord is plugged in.

i would try to get it replaced, could be battery not performing correctly.
