Laptop Suggestions

Well, I'm in the market for a laptop. I have a few around town that I was looking at. But I figured people here would know a heck of a lot more than me. And it might be cheaper to try and build my own online or something.

My upper limit is about $1500, but that is only if necessary. The cheaper the better, but not if it means a poor machine.

I'm not looking to game on it but it would be nice if the ability was there if I wanted to put one or two games on it.

Doesn't need that big of a screen, but I don't want one of those tiny 10" ones either.

Any suggestions on builds or places to look? I've never bought a laptop before so I'm really uncertain about how much money it takes to build a decent one.

 

Everyone here knows I am partial to Apples. However...you wont get the most bang for your buck there. You will get one heck of a battery life though
