laptop troubles

I have a laptop that is a Acer Aspire and have windows vista on it. Well nothing comes on the thing except the acer logo and than goes black and says it cannot find the system. Don't know what happened to the thing. I tried recovery disc the company sent and they do not work either. I can get to the f2 button which gives order of boot and security and stuff. But nothing else. What Can I Do? The company is no help at all.:cry

 

the first disc is systems disc so when u boot it says it is doing an image but when it is done it is suppose to tell u to put in the 2nd disc which is recovery. But instead a gray screen nothing on it but the mouse pointer which works. So I would put the 2nd one in anyway and nothing happens. Then I tried the 2nd one alone and nothing happens only the Acer logo.
