i have an older dell inspiron 8100 laptop and I was thinking of upgrading it. The two main parts I was looking at was the hard drive and the ram. Mainly because those are the only parts that can be upgraded on this pc. I am looking for the biggest speed boost because it is too slow. Right now i have 256MB pc133 ram and 30GB 4200 rpm hard drive. My two options are 512MB ram upgrade or 80 GB 5200 RPM drive. Which of these two do you think is a better upgrade? I mostly use the laptop for internet and word processing.

I hate the slow RPM's of laptops hard drives. I would go with the RAM upgrade. Should help you out more, but the faster hard drive would be nice also.
