laptop which is better?

Which laptop is better, not just specs wise but in other important ways such as: which will be less prone to breaking down, customer service, actual specs measuring up to what are the stated specs? Any help would be great in the comparison of these two.

Both have 512 Mb memory, and aroung 80 gb hd, which I believe are the same speed, also have dvd rw dl.

1. Sony vaio vgn-N series , witha intel core solo processor
T1350, ddr2 at 533 Mhz, and a 15.4" wxga tft with xbrite
eco tech screen.

2. Lenovo 3000 N100 with intel core 2 duo processor T5500,
with ddr2 at 633 Mhz, and a 15.4" vibantview screen.

I tried both and am liking the sony keyboard and look a bit more, but the lenovo has some good specs, as too how much of a margain these processors on notebooks produce, I have no idea.

Any input?

 

Well you should look into the company. You don't want to by a laptop from a company that is going to go out of business because you'll then most likely not be able to order parts. Coming from the bush (South Africa and most recently Mozambique) I would go with the Sony because I've not hear of Lenovo. However I see that the RAM for the Lenovo is 633Mhz compared to 533Mhz from the sony. If Lenovo is a well known company in your part of the bush I would go with that. Cheers.

 

I would go with the Lenovo. I believe Lenovo was formerly the IBM line (ThinkPads, etc.), and their quality is superior to Sony. You might want to do some reading on the 'net before making a purchase. Good night and good luck.
