Help!! I'm not sure what happened...
I was updating a laptop (HP Pavilion DV9000) with Windows Update.
It kept returning error 643, so I googled - found a MS FixIt 50123 on Microsoft's site and ran it.
    It seemed to successfully complete.
    Then I rebooted.
    Now the laptop won't boot.
Nothing ever comes on the screen.
When I turn the power on, all the lights come on to indicate the power is on, but no display shows up. If I leave it on, I can see that it is power cycling...every 30 seconds or so. I've tried plugging in to an external monitor but still nothing is displayed.
I've pulled the battery - no change.

    What can I do??
    Thanks!
    Amber

Well I must have baffled everyone !
I let it sit unplugged for a few hours, and it booted up fine.
Any thoughts as to what may have gone wrong?
