laptop wont start

i saw other threads lik this but none matched whats hapening with mine. so after taking my laptop out of what i thought to be a water proof bag it had a little water on all sides. i pressed thepower button and it began to start like normal so i went for a drink. when i came back it was compleatly shut down. now when i press the power button nothing at all happens. i also noticed that the light on the charger goes off as soon as its plugged into the comp. i opened it up and it was compeatly dry. any ideas? (its an inspiron 1420 btw)
