I have a Samsung 160gig Harddrive and have heard from a few sources that partitioning the harddrive into smaller incriments not only allows for easier organization, but helps the harddrive run faster. Is this at all true? If so what recommendation do you people have about how many partition and what sizes they should be?

Another advantage of having secondary partitions(s) just for storing your data, is that you can defrag the data partitions any time, while surfing here at MG or doing something else that doesn't require that partition. And when you do need to stop & defrag C, there's a lot less there to defrag, which makes that go much faster.
