Hey guys, I have a question. I'm running Win XP Pro SP2. I have my programs list set to not scroll. In other words, I want to see all programs without scrolling. That has worked as it should for quite a long time. But now, the last item on the right half of my two-list programs menu is not visible. I know what's not visible; it's one program and it's AVG Antivirus, the last program I've installed.

Now, I don't think this has anything to do with AVG Antivirus; it just happens to be the last program installed. If I sorted my programs list, something else would be moved to that last position on the menu.

Actually, if I recall correctly, I believe I first noticed this after my son installed Apple's QuickTime. But, I should mention that AVG was installed (the installation mentioned above was actually a reinstalling of AVG) when he installed QuickTime, so the number of programs then is the same as now.

Again, I don't know that's there any connection between the installation of any program and this issue. It may simply be that the number of programs in my programs list had not increased to the point where this became an issue.

Now, I'm also wondering what would happen if I installed more programs. Would a third tier for the menu appear or would additional programs not be visible?

Perhaps the underlying issue is, indeed, that the Programs menu will not expand to a third tier and, therefore, additional programs will not be visible. If so, can a registry setting be changed to allow a third tier to appear for the menu?

Edit: Here's a screen print showing the bottom of my programs menu:

I had a similar but not exact problem as yours. Is your DPI set beyond 96 DPI?
Right click your desktop, choose Properties>Settings>Advanced. Your DPI settings are there. Reset it to, 96 DPI if it isn't already.

Thanks for your reply. I checked the setting you mentioned and it is 96 DPI.

And, I wonder, wouldn't the first tier of the menu list also be partly invisible if the DPI setting were a factor here? In other words, shouldn't both tiers of the menu behave the same?
