LastPass and browser lags

    I've recently started using LastPass and am getting rather irritating lags in my browser (mostly Firefox). As LastPass is the last thing I changed I'm suspecting its browser plug-in is behind this. It's only really noticeable on my modestly powered Lenovo E335 laptop. The PC, with its SSD, doesn't seem to be affected.

    Any other LastPass user with a modest machine noticed anything similar?

    Hi Earthling, sadly no on Lastpass and my computers I use with last pass are:

    Surface Pro
    Windows 8.1 Desktop
    Windows 8.1 netbook
    Windows 8.1 laptop
    Windows Server 2012 R2

    I would look at adobe flash, shockwave and Sun Java s issues, maybe Microsoft Silverlight, but I doubt the media add-ons are the issue, what browser and what PC specs do you have so we can compare, as my netbook is a Win 8.1 but a Intel Atom 1.66ghz with 2gb RAM and its ok with last pass, so look at addons in browser.

    I'll go with DavidGP on this one... I use LastPass on all my installs and I have no problems with it. Adobe Flash has long been a problem. Have a look at your plug-ins and disable them selectively (or permanently) and you will notice a difference.

    Yeah, probably Plugins (or Extensions, whatever the difference might be), but for reasons unknown the lags seem to have disappeared for the time being. That's the sort of problem I like ;)

    We seem to have a plethora of systems here and to make life simpler I use FF Sync, so disabling an add-on in one will do so in all of them. As it seems my modest laptop is/was the only one affected it's probably best to just live with it should it return.

    I'd take a look at browser security settings, anti-virus real time file scan settings, etc.
