I recently bought a samsung 22" LCD monitor. My computer has a ATI radeon HD2600 Pro graphics card.

The monitor came with two cables. a regular svga 15 pin connector, and a DVI D cable.

Do I need both? When I first plugged it in it appeared to need both, but when I took the svga one off, a couple of days later, the monitor stayed on.

    Just the DVI-D

It is better quality than the other one

you can always use the other one to connect to a second monitor from you graphics card if you wish
