LCD Display Issue

    I have a Dell Inspiron 2200 laptop and the display is super bright towards the middle lower part of the LCD. I would say the area that is more intensely litup is about half the size of a baseball...

    Is there anything that can be done to correct this, or is it just the LCD on its way out...
