25ms is the standard for a 'good' monitor, and i;ve heard nothing but priase of samsung, however it all depends on your preference.

the response time doesnt affect the achievable FPS per se, its more about if the pixels will smudge or blurr into eachotehr temporarily.

my viewsonic 191b (also 25ms) is very good IMO, however i do notice a TINY blurr when compared to a monitor with a better response time.

the best thing to do is see if you can test the displays IN PERSON to see the difference.

if not, my friend just got the PLANAR 171M click here for price and its great for gaming. 12ms rise and 4ms fall

the only downside is the 140 degree viewing angle.... but unless you're walking around the room you dont notice it.

    good luck

    Roger that InYearsToCome,
The best deal is to test the monitor first before buying it.
