LCD problems with compaq c770

    so, i have replaced a broken lcd in my laptop, and also the lcd connector. both are brand new parts. the backlight comes on, and when hooked up to an external monitor, it works. but, the lcd still doesn't work.

    what am i doing wrong?

    Check the connector at the mobo, make sure all the pins are still straight. Sometimes if it isn't aligned perfectly when you reconnect it, the pins can get bent. Also why was the first screen replaced? Did it just stop working or was it physically damaged (cracked/broken)?

    it was physically damaged...

    i'll check the connector when i get back home.
