LED Screen Goes Black After A Few Seconds

Seperate issue on a different laptop than what I asked.

So I can log in to Windows fine and Dell startup. Except after a few seconds its like the LED backlight goes black... So I closed the laptop and re-open it and then I can see the screen fine for a few seconds then goes black again. The laptop is still running but the screen itself is not.

The fan also runs. Unlikely to be a software issue because I re-installed Windows (with the problem going on)

 

I don't have an external monitor nor do any of my friends. Everyone has a iPad or laptop. However, there is an update. If I press F5 + Fn the screen will flicker on for a second. Also, I can faintly see the screen in the background, like a browser or whatever is going on, so I know the computer is on.
