I got a motherboard with a burned out AGP slot. I would like to use what I got and get a pci express board and card. Is the RAM and CPU even worth saving?

1 gig of Mushkin level II ddr 3500
80 gig barracuda 7200 SATA hd
    Chieftec Dragon full tower
    Antec true 550 power supply
    AMD XP 3000+

I also have a like new ASUS P4T socket 423 motherboard. Is it worth gettin a cpu and ram to build around that board? I got everything else I would need. It would be a strictly internet pc.

Depends on the RAM and CPU type.

However, considering that your PC is going to be for internet only, why not buy a cheap PCI graphics card and carry on with the PC as it is?

I would use the asus board as internet only sometime down the road.

I'm puttting the rest of the stuff together to get the best rig possible. The stuff listed is what i have to piece something together, Its not my current rig.
