Lenovo T470 Laptop Suddenly Very Slow And Memory Running At 80+%

My laptop is suddenly very slow and memory usage is 80+%. Shutting down Chrome and Edge helps for a little while but problem recurs after a few days. Running latest updated windows 10.

 

What security programs have you scanned it with? You posted in malware so you should scan and see if it is malware related. If not, then the problem is hardware or software but those problems won't be tackled until the laptop is shown as free of malware.

Log into Lenovo and let them identify your system.
Then let Lenovo do their upgrades.

If that works then great... be happy

If not (and I do not know what CPU you have)
Then do the same at Intel or Athlon etc..

Do NOT expect miracles from windows upgrades or troubleshooters;
they will only send you to the Microsoft store.
