Let Kodo Eat Pizza and get bombarded with water balloons!

I want to help Wraith's sister out with some bills. So here's what I got in mind.

I will eat an unknown number of pizza slices in an 8 hour period. My goal is to eat as many as possible. Your job is to sponsor the slices. I can probably foot the bill for the pizza but any dontations are welcome.

Any takers on this idea? we can work out the details in this thread..



Hand tossed waterballon: $1.00 per ballon
Potato gun launched (need to acquire device first so this is an IF) : $1.50 per balloon

I a bit financially tight at the moment,, but if you would ship me a cannoli,, I would eat it for pledges too. X is going to do that for the Lemmon family, I would be happy to do that for Jack's sister.

The way I see it, people could pledge any amount of money per slice. 5 cents, a dollar.. who knows.. Figure if people pledge 0.50 cents and I eat 40 slices.. that's 20 bucks per person. So maybe you pledge 10 cents.. The more people we get to do this, then the less people will have to pledge to really make a good chunk of change for Debbie.

A worthy cause Kodo. While paying you do do something you enjoy doesn't seem enough of a challenge at first blush, I suspect that if you truly cram in all you can cram in 8 hours, you'll likely be somewhat green around the gills before it's over. That should be worth good money on it's own merit. Come on folks, who all wants to see Kodo get sick?

I've already made a commitment to the cause, but I'll stand on the sidelines & cheer.

On a related topic, don't you still owe xflat a picture of you eating a taco? And is there anything closely resembling a cannoli that you can get your hands on that would stand a few days in shipping? xflat owes me a picture of himself eating a cannoli and can't find one down in rural Texas. We should get the Lemon family challenges cleared up too.

Just plain cheese pizza to reduce the overhead..
I doubt I'd make it to 60 slices.. but it would just be so much easier to keep track of if there were no Max's offered by sponsors

any other thoughts on this? I'll have to have an independent person film this so you can all watch it?

Then I will work harder.

And I recall a deadline of Friday the 23rd for the cannoli/taco pics. Can you still do that?

Just a suggestion to help you along Kodo. Either a Star Wars or LOTR marathon would fill the 8 hours and keep you riveted to the couch while munching pizza. Although you'd have to take a break from time to time for timely update reports here. Maybe watch them on the puter so you can report in real-time without pausing the movies.

Sometimes reporters are LLLOOOOKING for things to write about, they have to fill those pages every day. I mean, we're not talking front page news here, but that's why you could make the "sell" -- give them a reason WHY they should cover this EVENT! Plus MajorGeeks is a Syracuse product, right?

Major Geeks -- you -- Wraith -- Illinois -- injured sister -- posting a challenge to help a woman who you've never met -- etc.

I see several ways to go with a story there!!

THE IDEA being -- hit the papers before you do it and you'll get more sponsors. Or they cover it while you do it and you get people to know of the issue and maybe donate anyway.

Ummm before we get too carried away here folks, I would rather speak to my brother-in-law before you go to the press with this. I would hate to blind side him with reporters calling him up to try to find out the "rest of the story" so to speak. After all, I do rather like that part of my family . Yes, I am determined. There are those out there that need help.. why not help them with humor!

 

I can do, say, 50 cents a slice with a $30.00 max. I'll also go for two balloons @ $1.50 a pop ($33.00 max). Sorry, I wish I could do more, but every little bit helps.

 

Kodo, should we make this post sticky to maximize your pizza eating ability? BTW, can they use ice water in the balloons? Now THAT would be funny!

That is use your fingers to hold the pizza while eating it, not a knife and fork It's debatable whether you need to fold the pizza and hold it in one hand or using both hands.

One handed, unless the tip is flimsy in which case it's optional to use two hands to make sure you get all the cheese.
AND you MUST fold the pizza (Neopolitan Only). Pan based and Sicilan pizza's are difficult to fold

Hot sauce is a crime.. but I must admit I've broken the law on that one and it's not bad

You may only use certified cold cut meats and vegies.
NO BROCCOLI, CHICKEN, or FRUIT

Parm and hot pepper is perfectly fine. Cold grated cheese is even better to spread over hot pizza..
