"Let's Celebrate, woohooo"

I got my drivers license, today... had to get up way early, at 7, driving exam was at 9, everything went well, except for traffic parking... but I got it 99% right, just the damn curb should've moved 1 inch
so today I got my mom's car (which is an automatic, I've been taught to drive a manual) which took some getting used to and drove at least 50kms, driving = fun

I shall now retire to my bed and wake up fresh tomorrow to drive some more

the curbs always get ya when you go for a driving test. i think i hit the curb too.
one more thing............

you need to go on a road trip, a long one. go to brussels, that would be long enough for you.

You just reminded me to book and start mine this week, my best mate phone me yesterday, his currently in iraq, comes back on the 20th... Ive been saving because we were going to go to brisbane, queensland, same day flight that he got back, but yesterday he informed me that its been cancelled because he has a lump on his guts that has come up recently, and he is worried about it and wants to see about it when he gets back before anything, his is worrying it may be a hernia, his doctor said its just a sprained muscle, but aaron doesnt think so... so he said to use the cash I`ve saved to go for my license and he'll help me with the rest when he gets back to complete it...

I havent wanted to drive, but his getting a new Holden Commodore SS for $27,000 from one of his mates mate, he promised me a drive if I get my license, so yeah, how could I reject that?

Gawd I miss him, been gone 5 months now, its changed him, he sounds upset lately in his voice, dunno whats happening where he is, but I know he cant wait to come back!

How old do you have to be in order to obtain a driver's license in the Netherlands?

 

You have to be 18 years old to get your (car) driver license in The Netherlands.

For a moped / scooter (less than 50cc) you have to be 16 to get your license.

 

Congratulations. Just remember keep your eyes on the traffic at least 50-100 metres ahead, where possible. Don't just look at the motorist immediately in front of you. Think of all other motorists as if they are idiots who don't know the road rules and you will be a lot safer. Wear your seatbelt always. Bazza

 

ExOxE, watch your speed limits in Queensland. Most roads are a maximum of 100km per hour (62 miles per hour to you yanks). A hell of a lot different to the unlimited speed limit that I believe applies in the NT. Love the Commodore SS V8, but my licence would probably only last a week if I owned one. Keep to the town limits as well in Qld. Bazza
