lets talk about our handhelds

I have a Zire 31 and I love it. When I leave the house and I forget it, I get really nervous although I shouldn't need it anyway. I have avantgo so even when I'm not near a computer and I have a couple minutes, I can go over the headlines. Being able to store pictures of it comes in handy in multiple situations. I plan on buying a new Palm in the next three months.

Who else has PDAs? What model do you have?

 

I bought mywife an Dell Axim X30 and myself a Dell Axim X50. I love it.. I take down all my misc notes on it.. no need for paper anymore. I store all my needed files on it and take them with me. Contacts, just a lot of info that is nice to have handy. Plus wifi is very nice to have. I can sit out back and surf and read without a clumsy laptop. It's just really handy when I need it to be

 

the part about getting nervous when you leave the house is probably the main reason i dont and wont have one. i abhor being dependant on technology. hell, i dont even own a cell phone. if it wasnt for my computers i would be a complete techno neanderthal. but then im big, hairy and smell bad anyway so i guess its to be expected

disclaimer: not intended to hijack or rain on your thread Ira. just wanted to offer the "i dont have one and why" perspective. plus it was a good opportunity to brag about being big, hairy and smelly.

 

Unfortunately...technology and the way it intertwines within our everyday life is NOT gioing to go away...if anything...it will become more and more of our everyday life!!!

If you don't need it, then that is one thing, but if it makes your life more convenient, then why not participate!!!!????
