I have a 256MB Lexar jump drive. I don't know what's wrong with it. I have looked in other threads and they all have the proper id's, so I don't know what's wrong. It recognizes a a usb storage device and as a disk drive. the problem is it's not showing up in my computer. Here's a screenie of my safely remove hardware menu and my My Computer window.

How do you know it's not showing up in My Computer? Your image shows 4 removable drives, I, J, K, and L. Since there are no distinctive titles on them, how do you know your 256MB Lexar jump drive is not one of them? The image you posted proves nothing, in my view.

Look in Device Manager. Several things could be happening. It could be busted. It could be set to use a "used" drive letter.

Right click on My Computer and choose Manage. (which OS version by the way?)

    Is it an unknown device?
Click the Device Manager. Any yellow boxes with question marks? (that means your system doesn't know what the thang is)

If it is known, does it show up in Disk Management?
From Manage , click Disk Management. Does the UFD show up? If so, right click to choose reassign drive letters.

    Good Luck

First, I have a card reader. That is I J K and L. You can see that from the remove hardware menu. There is no way that one key will have four drives.

Second, I have no unknown devices. When I plug it in, the computer recognizes that it is a Lexar JumpDrive. No problems there. It also installs all of the necessary hardware. It just doesn't show up in My Computer.

And before I finished typing out this reply, I finished reading JG's reply and I've fixed the problem.

    Thanks :D
