Lexmark 2600 series: can I separate driver from Junkware?

junkware... that's what I call that huge wad of lexmark stuff. it caused a conflict with my video....
Does anyone know how to get JUST/ONLY the printer driver for 2600 series?

 

It is possible to untick the extras on the cd when installing, if you are quick enough.
Or, go to the manufacturers site, and download from there, just what you want.

 

You can press the shift button when the cd rom starts up, to stop it loading, and right click the cd rom drive and click explore, find your driver, and install it that way, but it could be easiest for you to put the cd in the cd rom drive, and then close the window, so that nothing loads, then plug in the printer, and let Windows find it, and follow through the windows search for driver, direct to cd rom drive, and it should install just the driver.
