a few weeks ago this printer started acting up on me, everytime i try to print it would say its printing but nothing happens untill i turn the printer off and on again. It did not bother me untill last night when the problem escalated, it just refused to even let the drivers recognize it. It can do photo copy just fine and scanning to photoshop still works like a charm but i cant print from my computer. In the device manager the printer is listed under 'other devices' and supposedly the device is working 'properly' can any one help me??

im using vista ultimate x64, and yes im trying with the latest drivers

What does it say under properties for the listing under other devices?

Try stopping then starting the print spooler service.

Sometimes printing jobs get stuck in the print spooler and nothing prints (or at least on my printer can take up to 1/2 hour until it decides to print).

Check that the firewall isn't blocking the printer

omg im so sorry for the late reply, i ddnt need to print anything after that day untill....urgh now, then it hit me like a frieght train when i remebered i posted this problem, really sorry.

Ive tried both of the solutions, i even tried older drivers and they dont seem to be working correctly either...
