LG DVD Writer will only write data files one-at-a-time

I just bought an LG DVD Writer and installed Nero and all the drivers. However, all it wants to do is record music or videos.
I would like to use the writer to back up my data files since it has a large enough capacity to record the whole bit on one disc.
I CAN record data, but I must select each file in turn one-at-a-time. Do I need some other software other than the disc that came with the DVD Writer?
I'm running Windows XP, if that makes any difference. 2644mdall

That's what I suspected, but it's an awful pain to load some 3500 pictures one-at-a-time. What was the shareware program that you mentioned that I should browse for? I looked down the list at the link you gave and didn't find anything that looked appropriate.

Haven't used Nero in a long time but am pretty sure it does multiple files the same as Roxio and others. In Nero you should be able to find the folder they in and drag the entire folder to the burn Window. If you don't want the entire folder then open it and with Control Key held down select the ones you want and drag any one of them to the burn window. All selected files will follow along. Hope this helps a little.

I didn't recommend a backup software, only provided the link, as I was not sure what you were trying to backup or how often. jlphlp gave excellent advice in his suggestion! This should solve your problem.
