    How do I get a cell to show today's date? Low priority, but I would like to know.

    I have tried putting =date in the input line but no joy.

    You are close - it's =date()

    I got Err:511

    Those are parenthesis?

    Yes, but although it worked the first time I tried it, it doesn't now unless you insert a specific date, e.g. =date(2020,8,4). I just wanted it to display today's date, which is what it did first time I tried it. Sorry for the confusion as I never use Excel and still use Lotus 123 from 1998. Hopefully an Excel user will pop in and clarify. Whatever works in Excel should also work in your clone.

    Thank you. Learning Excel has helped a lot on several fronts.
