Library "arrange by"

Windows 7 64 bit. Within my Libraries, at the top right within a Library directory is the "arrange by" drop down menu, which has recently stopped working. I can no longer arrange, for example, my music by artist or album, or anything. Bottom line is "arrange by" no longer functions at all, I have never encountered this problem and dont know how to fix it. I have been scouring google and forums for the answer, but haven't found it yet. Seems like such a simple problem, how hard could this be to fix ?? :cry
BTW - the setting stays stuck on arrange by : "Folder" and will not change .

Well. Since I have my OS on an F40, I guess I may as well just do a reinstall. I'm having a few other problems with specific apps that I have posted about on their proprietary forums, and I can't get answers there either. Maybe Ill just do an OS reinstall today . All my data are on E and F drives anyway, so it wont take a minute . HOWEVER - since my F40 SSD has less than 4 gigs free at this time, what should I use to prep the drive with to clean it up for the reinstall ?

 

Nvmnd i FINALLY found the answer within the right click menus. Geez. It really wasn't a difficult fix, I just didn't know where to look .

 

Well, I can "arrange by" in the right click menu, but the tab in the upper right still doesn't work. I have still been looking for the answer but just can't find it. It's not a major thing, but it is annoying. I would prefer my system to function as designed. Anyone have any ideas ?
