Lights And Ports And Buttons, Oh My!

surprisingly hard finding a user manual / schematic / layout diagram for my laptop! i'm sure i'll manage eventually, but in general, what's the buzzword to google on?

i figured "[model #] layout" or "[model #] specs" would have me ass-deep in results, but so far, no such luck.

i was originally just tryna figure out what this LIGHT is on the front. battery charging? PC on? HDD in use?

it comes and goes at odd times, so it hasn't proven obvious to me. hence my ill-fated attempt to do a quick lookup....

 

Odds are you will not find a schematic or layout diagrams. Makers typically don't publish or post that information - at least not for public consumption.

You should, however, find a user manual (or user guide) "IF" the laptop is not too old. Enter the brand and model number in your search.
