Is there any free/open source LightScribe-type of software that will burn a picture in to the surface of a compatible CD/DVD? I looked for one about 8 months ago and came up empty, but was hoping that something had been developed since then. I know the free Nero that comes bundled with most DVD burners has LightScribe software, but what if you don't want Nero? From what I can tell, there is no way to install only the LightScribe component without installing Nero with it, and when Nero is uninstalled, it takes LightScribe with it (at least I think it does but I could be wrong :-o ). Besides, it would probably be in violation of the EULA to only use the LightScribe software w/o the Nero components as well....
