limewire, is it safe?

i was wondering if anyone knows about limewire, and if its safe to download. if you know anything please tell me i really need to know.

I had it installed on my computer at one time, more out of curiosity than anything else. I uninstalled it, when I found out that it was using my computer as a server. It was extremely difficult to completely uninstall!

 

Its as safe as any other P2P. I've found a few bugs in it though, like making the screen blurr every now and then, and other such video weirdness (like strechting the screen double width).

 

i use it occassionally but when i dont need it i keep it closed cos it slows my comp down loads.
