    Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right category to post this in, but I'm new and I couldn't figure out if there was a better one. I have a question: a lot of my friends have limewire and their computers work very well and they are virus free. They say you can download a number of programs along with Limewire that make it so that it does not harm your computer. Is this true? If so, how can I get Limewire without harming my computer?
    Thanks,
    Scott

Downloading software from programs such as Limewire is illegal. You will not get any help with that here, sorry.

I have had two separate wireless connections ban my computer from access due to using LimeWire! I don't know exactly why or how, all I know is that i can no longer connect through those locals.

Some ISP's monitor bandwidth activity and if they notice a machine using massive amounts of bandwidth they will assume it’s either an infection or illegal use of downloading and sometimes they have been known to disconnect the service until it has been resolved.

Our local cable company does this during the weekdays to prevent businesses from slowing down on the internet.
