I just did a clean reinstall/format of my comp (New Year thing), and I initially set up 2 accounts (both admin properties).
After installing everything I wanted/needed, I decided to switch the identity I was installing with to Limited.
With a limited account you're not supposed to be able to install programs.
I did though, anyone know what's going on here?

Limited accounts can still install programs, it just depends on what program it is.

Without being on a domain, AFAIK, the best thing you can do to insure that programs aren't installed, is to disable the Windows Installer for that account, which only limits a certain percentage of programs.

    Thanks Ad'...I also discovered something.
When installing SpamPal, no problems there.
However, I went to Ewido's site to download their updates (as a file, so manually). FireFox wouldn't let me, so I switched Users, went to the Admin account, and it let me.
As well, my ASUS' automatic update was giving me an error message when I tried using it, on the limited. But guess what? Worked fine on the admin side.
So thanks again, btw have a great New Year :):):):)
