    Hey guys,

    I set up a wireless network and have been fixing tons of issues with everyone computers...including my own. right now my friends computer has limited or no connectivity issue. I've tried several things. The computer will send packets but will not recieve them. So i tried to enter his ip address manualy and it will connect with no problem to the router, i can enter the router config page, ping his computer and all of that. but it still won't open any web pages. i've tried mess with the drivers, turned of firewalls, done the spyware removal, shut down and turned on his virus scanners, restarted the router and his computer. I am stumped. i would down load a hotfix form microsoft but his computer won't connect to the internet. i guess i could use a thumb drive though. any other ideas from any one as to what i should do. all other computer on the network are working great. thats how i am sending this.

    using linksys router

    thanks

    You'll need to clarify this a little.

    START | RUN | CMD

    nslookup www.complete-cs.com

    What response do you get?

    all right, i think that i have another issue to ask about. one guy had this thumb drive and i think that he has the STD and he is definately a whore...sorry for the language. the friend i was talking about brought his computer to me to fix it. another guy came in and asked if it could have something to do with his thumb drive. i told him that i don't think so but told him to give it to me so i could run a scan on it. kapersky found like four files on it the virus: email work bontok.q. i thought that it was clean and so i told another guy to use it to get me highjackthis for someone else. that guys computer did the same thing. i took the thumb drive in my computer and it automaticly tried to download something from the other guys computer to mine kapersky caught...the worm again after i clear everthing off of the drive. could that worm have anyting to do with it? i am still sending like a mother continuously 100 packets a second but i am not receiving anything! wtf. thank you for the help and the quick replys. Event Viewer:

    thr browser has received a server announcment indicationg that the computer XR*ED is a master browser, but this computer is not a master browser.

    the master browser has recieved a server announcment from the computer JESTER that beleives that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_(lot of numbers). the master browser is stopping or an election is being forced.

    the packet chedulaer could not initialize the virtual miniport with NDIS

    can someone maybe tell me what all of this means if it has something to do with the internet connection problem that i am having?
