lining 2 computers

    Ihave connected two computers (both HP) I need setup instructions I know it is not that hard. :confused

    But when posting do give us some information to work with such as,

    1. What type of PCs are they, make and model
    2. What Windows versions are the PCs using
    3. What type of network, is this corporate through switches or a home network via router, then give us the routers make and model

    Both computers are HP model Workstation xw8200,and Pavalion a1419h.
    xp Pro and xp
    I just connected a ethernet cable to both computers.
    the xw8200 is wirelessly connected via dsl 2wire. The A1419H is just a spare I had. This is strictly a personal connection TOM
