Linkable Mal-ware Tutorial ???

    for my company's [consulting] Website I need a linkable dissertation on current state of Malicious-Ware. I'm basically trying to say "why did my computer get hijacked and is now non-functional, for all practical purposes". I need something that is OK to link to.
