linking fan connectors...

I'm in the process of 'revamping' my system. I have 3 case fans that, unfortunately, all run off of the power supply even though I have enough onboard connections to support them all. Anyway, they all have connectors the are a male/female combo so that a molex(proper term?) Connector is not dedicated to one fan. I also have an adapter for the front led that accomplishes the same thing. One bad thing about getting a great power supply, even in a large case like mine, cable management can be a hassle with all of those cables and connectors. So, I'd like to link all of these together and power off of a single molex connector. This link of fans and the led would be the only thing on the rail(again, correct term?), though. For some reason, when I first built this machine, I did not do this. I can't remember if it was just out of caution or if I read that it was a bad idea. So, I am here to ask, is it a bad idea? They'll still all be on the same rail regardless, so... thoughts?

Sorry for the late reply, that's perfectly fine.

Fans only draw a fraction of an amp,the wires on one fan could theoretically carry enough juice for about 10 fans before they got warm or slowed the fans down.

A PSU molex connector can provide in the multiple of amps also, mine can output 80 amps and you would need about 5-8 fans just to equal one amp as they only draw around 0.10-0.20 amps each.

As you can see by the math you would need dozens of fans connected from one molex before it became a problem.:)

Thank you for the answer. I've been running them linked together since I made that post, so I guess it's a good thing that it's fine haha.. Cable management would be horrid if I didn't.
