Links problem

Hello....

Compared to the post on here this one seems downright trivial, but here goes....

When im in a web page and hit a link to say, another page or perhaps something connected to that page nothing happens, I get a tab on my task bar and the making of a page appear to open but its basically 'transparent'

I have tried re setting my browser (i.e) and adjusting the security settings but no luck.

Any help would be appriciated and i promise to come up with a harder problem next time!

 

As i cant find the 'edit' button I had to add to the original message like this.....

I have just noticed that I also cannot open e mail attachments...just tried in hotmail and all i have is a square with a red x in it where pictures were...

Any help?
