Linksys Firewalls?

I just bought a Linksys router(Notebook Wireless Kit, comes with a notebook wireless card) and recently i was trying to setup my HP 2510 All-In-One Printer to both the computers in our network... But when trying to setup the printer with its built in wireless system it could not detect a connection. Is it possible that the wall separating the room to the garage ( our house goes like this:

----- indicates a wall....

GARAGE
--------
BATHROOM
--------
OFFICE (Printer)


Could the walls possible block the wireless signal?

 

try using another wireless device in that room. its very possible the signal is getting blocked. or if you have other 2.4ghz devices between the printer and wireless router.

 

weve got our router and modem RIGHT next to each other on a shelf both 2.5GHz....

 

I'm assuming since you got the notebook kit that you have a notebook? If so, try setting that up and see if you can get a signal in the room you are trying to use the printer in.

Or maybe even better yet - move the printer to the same room while setting it up. That way you can eliminate the signal as a possible problem.
