Linksys Network Card

    I have an old HP Pavillion 6333 (Win98) with an added LNE100TX PCI network card. PC was restored with HP restore disk. Downloaded 2 latest versions (V4 and V5) of drivers from Linksys. Can not get network activity (cable internet) with either driver. V5 will not install. V4 will install but will not give me network activity. Can someone provide me with troubleshooting steps (or a link to same) for novice level Geeks?
    Before restore, card worked great. Disk originally provided with card is not available.
