i just recently bought a new 4-port router. i used the cd to install however, i ended up having problems in step 10 in which the wizard configures the DHCP settings. before i reached step 10, i successfully done the previous steps wherein, the wizard checks whether my computer is connected to the router. I was wondering why i am receiving an error message saying i should check if the cables are properly connected even if im not touching anything after the previous step. can i just use any other networking wizard? im using winXP... does it have its own wizard to detect my router? help please... im a newbie in networking...

    Hey haywired

Do you use a driect wire cable or a crossed wire cable ? you should use an crossed one.
Second off all check the your computer is set to accept IP address automaticly.
