Linksys router won't recognize ip address

This is driving me mad. After over 4 hours tech support the only thing I was told was that the router was not able to see or recognize the IP address.
NOW, I can't get on Internet with the router connected to the computer, but since I have this router to use a VoIP system the phone doesn't work either.
I called many times to Linksys help and to T Mobile help with no results.
Using Motorola Surf Modem, T Mobile brand Linksys router with their SIM card in it. I have no clue how to force the router to recognize the IP address.
Where the IP address should be on the router interface is just a string of zeros.

 

Is there a Linksys make and model anywhere?...Most likely a sticker on the bottom. For example...mine is a Linksys WRT54GS. That way we can get an idea of how your router software is setup.

Well, the final word after 10 days and many hours with various levels of tech support, it appears that they, as well as I, are throwing in the towel. This is my last night with this.
If still no luck, I may either go with Vonage (right now I am so fed up with Linksys I don't want another Linksys and Vonage sounds like theirs is not a Linksys brand). My other thing I am seriously thinking about is T Mobile Hot Spot At home program which uses a D Link Wireless Router, but if I do that I will end up getting their Blackberry Curve, which will be more money.

Did you clone MAC Address? Login to tmobile router and clone MAC Address.
You should be able to connect to internet
