Linksys WAP54G Zonealarm and a 3com hub

ok I have A series2 3com managable Hub. On this i have plugged in the linksys wap 54g access point. In this is plugged in my pc. my lap top. my wifes pc. now the problem is my wifes pc has a usb modem. and from my lap top when i go cable free it wont go online.... now is it zone alarm. or is it the fact my wifes pc is xp. my pc is 2000pro. laptop is xp too. i am so confused. In fact i might sell the thing on ebay and continue tripping on wires.

 

ok I have a 2 series 3com hub (switch 3000) (255.255.0.0)
to this i have a wap54g .. setup on standard settings.. my wife is connected to broadband via a usb dsl modem. I can connect to the internet via my pc (wired) no problems ... but when i try and set it up for a wireless modem. nothing happpens i think i need help with a config for the default gateway. from laptop or the AP ... please I want to do this. as i dont want to buy a ireless modem.(linksys wifi friendly) as i have a baby on the way.
